Types of treatment Services Acquired

Residential treatment services available to the public vary widely. Prices varying from $8,000 to $40,000 per month are not uncommon. We acquire services at an average of $12,500 per month.  The fees for insurance companies and the general public for these services is approximately $18,000 to $25,000.  In general, services at a price less than this range cannot offer effective treatment as it is impossible to employ appropriate professional staff. We, at the Recovery Plus Foundation, strongly disagree with the practice of mixing treatment with any other new focus in the patients’ lives. Facilities priced above our level of expenditure generally include social status and luxuries that may be desirable, but do not impact treatment results.

The cost of Intensive Outpatient treatment also varies considerably, from $0 to $10,000 per month.  We acquire services meeting our criteria at a cost of $2,500 per month.  From time to time, geography affects the ability to treat as there are no facilities within a reasonable access for the person being treated.  In these cases outpatient treatment is slightly more expensive (i.e.  $500 per month more) for personal audio visual therapy utilizing the internet.

Research has proven that aftercare is the most cost effective part of the treatment process.  For at least a year after treatment, the person’s lifestyle and activities should be monitored to promote a substance free lifestyle. Whenever life’s problems occur; supplementary therapy is provided to ease though the situation with a focus on relapse prevention.  The cost of aftercare ranges from $0 to $5000 per month.  We acquire aftercare for $1000 per year.  After investing in residential or intensive outpatient treatment it is an extremely cost effective way to affect lifetime recovery from the disease.

Approximately one-third of people treated for addiction require detoxification.  In essence their addiction to their drug or alcohol is so strong that cessation is a life threatening event.  When detoxification is required, it is a three day hospitalized process with appropriate monitoring and “step down” medications.  Some hospitals charge as much as $25,000 for detoxification only. We acquire detoxification services for approximately $2500 with slight variances by physical location.
